Our mission
diversity and Development in tennis

Accessibility and diversity

The Diversity Tennis School is open to all children, regardless of origin, gender, religion, worldview, disability, or prior sporting experience. Our comprehensive course offering aims to provide all children with equal opportunities in tennis and to inspire them with the joy of playing tennis at the Fronwald tennis facility in Zurich.

Focus on development promotion

Primary school age is considered a crucial phase for the development of motor and cognitive skills, which form an important foundation for physical and mental well-being later in life. Our concept includes targeted exercises and methods to promote these skills, based on the findings of current studies. These studies demonstrate the positive influence of regular exercise and targeted motor skills development on academic performance, the classroom climate, and children's socio-emotional competencies.

Team spirit and individual development

Our philosophy views tennis primarily as a team sport, where playful development, rather than competition, takes center stage. This approach allows children to learn the fundamentals of tennis in a supportive and friendly environment. Only when children are technically and emotionally ready to face the challenges of a singles match do they gradually transition to individual play.

Participatory training design

The coaches at our school focus on clearly defined, long-term training goals. A key component of our training concept is the active involvement of the children in the training process, which fosters their autonomy and independence. By considering their interests and wishes, we not only promote the intrinsic motivation of each child but also facilitate the learning of tennis techniques. This inclusive and child-centered approach ensures that the training is not only effective but also a motivating and enriching experience for the children.
